Katie Favazza brought to my attention this
9/11 bloggers memorial project I decided to join. I'm hoping to get more attention on this, so I wanted to make sure everyone who is part of the townhall.com blogging community can hear about it.
To pay tribute to the 2,996 victims of the tragic attack, DCROE 2996 is
organizing what will probably be the first major coalition among
bloggers to date--and arguably the most important. He is inviting all
bloggers to
sign up on his site,
and then he is assigning everyone a particular victim to commemorate on
their blog. [That's the direct link to sign up, but be sure to browse
the site in general, too.]
So, I went ahead and signed up! I was assigned to memorialize
Anthony Segarra, age 52, who was killed at the World Trade Center. The site tells me he is a resident of New York, N.Y. I'm the 2322
th blogger to sign up for the
2,996 Tribute project.
So, what are you waiting for!! Sign up and join the rest of us! Make sure to link back to this post, and to Katie's blog, so you can get a trackback (another great way to bring in new readers). If you email me, or leave a comment on this post, and make sure to include the URL to your blog post--I'll link back to you right here.
Update: Mary Katharine Ham just joined the project, and so has
Michelle Malkin.
Update 2: Don't forget to let me know if you join the project.
